A bit of dirt, touches of flesh coloring, AO stroking for values, and a start at some inking on hair.
Final rendered pose in Sketchfab
Modular Character A-Pose and Exploded View
Finally got the cosplays done and back in action. Finished hair inking and did some light face line work.
Getting inked.... not with line work, but a custom tattoo I designed from concept which I interpreted as Son of Crawmeraux from BL2! It is all coming together! Slapped the fake Cell around her too just to test values.
Bakes are complete. First pass at slapping on materials.
This post marks the official completion of the primary sculpt. With these forms in mind, I will have a good idea as to what the game mesh should be built of.
Game Res is now complete with UVs and material distributions. Check out the all that mirrored texture resolution in the red! Just need to model out grenades and move on to some baking. Fingers crossed!
Polishing the shapes and forms, plus Hair, girl!
Blockout Part 2.
A quick ZBrush snapshot from the initial blockout of this character. I have already learned so much from the questions I have debunked just by blocking out this character.
Seemingly unused Original Concept from Borderlands 3 Artbook from Sergi Brosa with Gearbox Studios. Looking to meet these standards first before making this character anything different and including personal inspiration.
Current progress: Rendered Final awaiting feedback and revisions.
As I develop into my own personal style, I can see that I might need to learn to fully lean into one style before implementing any hybrid style blending and gleam what I can from professional artists techniques for more optimized designs. So I decided to pursue a fully rendered concept from Gearbox Studios (Sergi Brosa) and I have already learned so much from the questions I have debunked just by blocking out this character. More to come!
